This project bridges tradition and modernity, creating a new experience of Japanese sake by combining traditional craftsmanship with music and art. While sake consumption in Japan is declining, its popularity abroad is growing. To promote Japanese sake overseas, the project has developed a unique product that emphasizes sustainability and reuse, featuring handcrafted wooden sake boxes and packaging materials made from local resources.
Inspired by the concept of blending music and art with sake, this collaboration between Ibaraki’s prestigious Yoshikubo Brewery and Italian pianist Alberto Pizzo represents a cultural fusion. Pizzo’s music plays continuously during the brewing process, enhancing the sake’s flavor. This project aims to create an innovative, sensory experience that combines sake with music and art, showcasing Japan’s rich tradition in a modern, creative way. The product features environmentally-friendly packaging and is designed to support local industries while creating a new cultural bridge between Japan and the world.
