And suddenly, we realize —
the days we lived with love, the steps we took one by one,
were quietly writing the truest pages of our life.”
As he speaks these words, a soft blue sky seems to reflect in his eyes.

1. Cathédrale
I composed this piece the night the world wept for Notre-Dame. In my mind, I was alone at the piano—playing through the flames, offering music as prayer, to quiet the fire.
2. Neapolis
A journey into my roots — where every note carries the scent of the sea, the voices of alleys, and the golden echo of my Naples.
3. Sky
Through the clouds and across the sky — a single color that unites the world, beyond borders, beyond difference.
4. Lady Snow
Dedicated to Yuki, who faced her illness with grace and strength. A steady, rhythmic pulse — a heartbeat that connects us to life, even in its darkest hours.
5. Over the Wings
Dedicated to Spiderciccio, a child who flew to the sky too soon. But with his wings, he touched the world — and reached the light, to shine forever on those who loved him.
6. Tears of Peace
News reaches our eyes like fragments of sorrow, each tear carrying a story we cannot reduce to headlines. Every drop is a silent cry — a call for peace that no image can truly capture.
7. By the Sea
An improvisation born at Abbey Road Studio Two. I was born in a city by the sea — Naples — and though I now live in Tokyo, every time I see the ocean, I feel a little closer to home.
8. El Tango del Diez
I wrote it in one night, after hearing in Japan that Diego Maradona had passed away. In that moment, it wasn’t just a football legend who died — but a superhero, loved and admired by every Neapolitan child of the ’80s.
9. Joy
I was alone in a Tokyo hotel, waiting for a concert that day — when I received the happiest news of my life: the birth of my son. This melody came to me instantly, born from the overwhelming joy I wished to hold on to… forever.
10. For Mom
I had never dedicated a piece to my mother — until now. Living far from my parents, I feel a growing need to say thank you, even if our story wasn’t always easy. This is a whisper of gratitude, wrapped in music.
Bonus Track – Nagoriyuki
The last snow of winter carries the scent of spring. In Japan, even as cherry blossoms bloom, the cold still lingers in late March — a gentle handoff between two seasons. As if winter and spring touch hands, and in that fleeting moment, life returns, painting the world in color.
Breaking a three-year silence, Alberto Pizzo finally releases his new album — Skylight!
Following the critical acclaim of his third album Memories (Sony Classical), where he showcased not only his skill as a pianist but also his talent as a composer, Alberto Pizzo returns with Skylight — a work that captures the skies he has seen, the paths he has walked, and the atmosphere he has breathed.
The title Skylight is a fusion of “Sky” and “Light.” A skylight is a window to the heavens — and here, it represents the gentle light that pours through, illuminating even the darkest spaces with hope.
All ten tracks were composed by Pizzo himself and recorded at Abbey Road Studios (Studio 2) in London. Two of the pieces were improvised live in the studio. The album features a bonus track recorded in Japan, bringing the total to eleven compositions — each evoking different seasons, weather, and times of day, as if gazing up at skies from all around the world.
Just as the sky can appear in different hues depending on our state of mind, so too can the tones of this music shift with each listener’s emotional landscape.
Like ever-changing skies, we each carry within us a mosaic of emotions. And yet, the sky remains — always embracing us, always delivering its light.
Each note in Skylight seems to carry Pizzo’s gentleness, his sense of hope — shining softly through the music.
“There are days when we cannot even look up at the sky.
Days when everything seems to fade into grey.
Wrapped in darkness, we lose sight of the world, of meaning, of our dreams.
But it is within that very silence of darkness that a sacred trial is hidden —
the trial of continuing to believe in the light, even when we cannot see it.
In the darkest of moments, small miracles unfold quietly.
A single beam of light slips through a crack in the wall, gently illuminating the pages of our story.
And suddenly, we realize —
the days we lived with love, the steps we took one by one,
were quietly writing the truest pages of our life.”
As he speaks these words, a soft blue sky seems to reflect in his eyes.
The physical release includes detailed liner notes in both English and Japanese, written by the composer himself, along with an original sticker. The striking cover art makes it a piece you’ll want to display in your room.
