On the 10 of April in Genova

On the 10 of April at Auditorium Centro Congressi of Porto Antico in Genova, the masters Luis Bacalov, Stefano Bollani and Alberto Pizzo, together for the first time, for the project 3 PIANO GENERATIONS, an amazing concert which hosts a strange "carousel" of 3 great Yamaha pianos on the same stage.

As they were in an ancient arena, Luis Bacalov, Stefano Bollani and Alberto Pizzo will play in this carousel from a stage between the two parterres (Maestrale e Grecale), where they'll explore oceans of sound with alternate piano solos, and moments with two and three pianos.

The audience will be introduced in a musical journey of jazz, classic music and great cinema soundtrack, but also improvisation. The Masters will compose a musical canvas with their styles , and artistic personalities , without leaving behind songs likeOblivion” and “Libertango” by Astor Piazzolla, honoring south america passion and tradition.

The master Luis Bacalov is an argentinian pianist, composer , orchestra leader and arranger, today naturalized italian. He reached international fame thanks to his cinema compositions , collaborating with Scola, Petri, Pasolini, Fellini and many others. He won the Oscar in 1996 for the soundtrack ofIl postino” by Michael Radford. More recently Quentin Tarantino chose some of his songs forDjango Unchained” (2012) and in july 2014 Bacalov presented at Ravello Festival the show “Con el repiro del Tango” with actor Michele Placido.

Stefano Bollani, after his television success on Rai 3 with, “Sostiene Bollani”, on air for two seasons, and theatrical perforamance , “La Regina Dada”, written by him and played with Valentina Cenni, he is not just a jazz pianist anyomore. Awarded for his albums, he 2014 got golden disk in 2014 for his projectCarioca” ( by Emarcy/Universal in 2008) and he started 2015 winning the referendum of the magazine Musica Jazz as album of the year withJoy in Spite of Everything” recorded in New York with Jesper Bodilsen, Morten Lund and two pretigious guests: Mark Turner and Bill Frisell. His first golden disk is Sounds of the 30’s” recorded with Gewandhousorchester of Lipsia directed by RIccardo Chailly. “O que serà”, duet with brasilian mandolin palyer Hamilton De Holanda, is one of the best album of 2013 for the american magazine DownBeat and italians Musica Jazz and JazzIt. Mickey Mouse ambassador , the new adventure with his alter ego Paperefano Bolletta of Duckburg has just : come out.

The pianist composer Alberto Pizzo, graduated in 2004 Conservatorio S.Pietro a Majella of Naples, after a long experience in Italy and United Staes, in 2014 he presented his latest album “On The Way” (collaborating with Fabrizio Sotti, Mino Cinelu, Renzo Arbore, David Knopfler , Toquinho), obtaining great success with a Japanese and a USA tour, especially in New York, where he was the only italian at Blue Note Jazz Festival. Pizzo played at the bests italian festivals, enchanting the audience of Ravello Festival, of Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti in Faenza, but also Eataly Smeraldo di Milano and many others.
