“Over the Wings”
“Sound that surrounds you — beside your ears, behind your back, from far away.”
Kashima Corporation , known for designing some of Japan’s most iconic music halls — including Suntory Hall, Yamaha Hall, and the Italian Cultural Institute — has developed a revolutionary speaker: OPSODIS 1.
Unlike traditional systems, OPSODIS 1 recreates binaural sound without the need for headphones. It brings spatial audio to life in the open air, allowing you to perceive direction, depth, and distance — as if you were standing inside the music itself.
To demonstrate its full potential, my composition “Over the Wings” — recorded at Abbey Road Studios and mixed in Dolby Atmos — has been featured.
I’m on piano, and on cello is the extraordinary Jaques Morelenbaum, known also to Japanese audiences for his collaborations with Ryuichi Sakamoto and for his unforgettable performances on the soundtracks of films like “Babel” and “Love Letter”.
Let the sounds of nature, piano, and cello carry you into a three-dimensional world of emotion and harmony.
